If you said yes or have yet another example all together you know how comforting movement, lights, waves, and even sounds can be if in the right situation. For Finn Daly, a young boy with both autism and down syndrome, its the waving of an American Flag. He has one at home that he likes to sit and watch just outside his front door. But really, any flag will do and it makes for some fun walks through the neighborhood, since many other homes fly the red, white, and blue as well.  Most of the news stories covered on Uplift contain lots of detail. Peoples names, events, locations, and a full backstory. This one however, did not render much when researching and taking a deeper dive but perhaps that is ok because this narrative really could be anyone's story and even without specific details will encourage and uplift your spirits. What is known is the boy in the video is named Kowyn. He is wheelchair bound and clad in his Christmas morning PJ's holding a gift of vital importance that he wants to present to his step-dad. As the exchange occurs the onlooking family blurts out to the receiving dad, "You have to read it out loud!" The bearded man in a White Sox hat takes a handwritten note, lets his eyes focus on the words and soon he utters the contents out-loud as requested: "I want to thank you for always being here for me.       SkyWest flight attendant Laura Failner witnessed and captured a moment of kindness on her flight home from Washington. As an elderly woman entered the plane looking for he seat it was obvious that her frail 94 year old body struggled with getting around especially in such tight quarters. Additionally she was clearly confused with the row and seating arrangements and her face caught the eye of a first class passenger who flagged Laura down and said, "can you please get her and put her in my seat, and will take hers?!"      Failner did as requested to the amazement and gratitude of the confused lady. She was so touched at the gesture she not only hugged her knight in shining armor, she stated, "Never in my 94 years has someone done that for me. thank you young man!"
