As the source content below will show this was a deeper dive (no pun intended) that did not disappoint as it renders the title somewhat tame in comparison to its amazing details. Turns out a 12 year old boy while vacationing at a South Carolina resort got stuck in a lazy river pool drain after unwisely removing its cover with the help of a friend.  Drones are all the rage these days. They use them to inspect for roof damage. Youtubers have them to get that perfect aerial shot for their travel channels. Several traditional fireworks shows have pivoted to drone formats as they can offer a less noisy light show with impressive choreography. Even hobbyists and casual users that just want to learn how to pilot these airborne marvels are becoming more and more common. And then when I saw a car in it, I'm like oh...that's a sinkhole." Josh locating the anomaly To spot a sinkhole is unique on its own as they are not very common. But for there to be a car in the hole is quite a bit more interesting and this one, had people inside. In fact the couple in the vehicle had already tried calling 911 in their upside-dow...

Hillis on Madden game cover  If you are a parent, you likely understand the notion of "doing anything" for your children especially when it comes to their safety. Former NFL running back Peyton Hillis was dealt a scenario that tested his very limits and its no surprise he sprung into action despite it costing him greatly. However, the pure exhaustion and unceasing effort got the best of him as he himself became the victim of the waves taking water into his own lungs and collapsing on the beach. First responders came to ...

Ginger Maxville Young children tend to put almost anything in their mouths. Perhaps its a right of passage and a way of experiencing & exploring the world around them with more than just one of their five senses. Perhaps its just a fidgety behavior done out of sheer boredom. Whichever is the case, that kind of behavior can sadly lead to very scary and life threatening situations as choking can be common. If it fits in their mouth, it most likely can choke them. So when an adventurous five year old student on Ginger Maxville's bus started a commotion, her first assumption was the he was playing around stating, "I thought he was just teasing me and I thought he just wasn't following my instructions about sitting down." The child's persistence along with his sister explaining that "he had a coin stuck in his throat" caused the bus driver to 'switch gears' and think through the life saving classes from years past. After pulling the bus over into...

Twenty three year old, Cornell student Bryce Demopoulos was recently caught on MTA (Metropolitan Transportation Authority) camera helping a man in need. As the student entered the subway platform awaiting his connection that would usher him to his summer job at Weill Cornell Medicine, he observed a man stumble off the platform and onto the tracks. Initially Bryce assumed the man would just hop right back out but it became clear as the man shouted that he was not capable of doing so without help.  So without thinking, Demopoulos jumped into the subway rail line with an oncoming train headed for the pair in effort to assist the fallen man back onto the platform. "I didn't really think about it too much. I saw somebody who was obviously in trouble and I was in a position to help him. It didn't really occur to me that it was dangerous in the moment - I just feel like I had the responsibility to just hop in and help him when he needed it." It was not until footage of his h...

"My dad can beat up your dad!" is a common brag around the elementary school yard. And so are a whole host of other claims that typically never get vetted in a manner as to provide proof.
