So imagine the shock and horror when this Utah family witnessed their beloved family member, Bob Watson, collapse to the floor. Initially suspecting a seizure 911 was immediately notified but the family knew to alert Kyle Giacconi, the brother-in-law from outside to please come in and help. The reason? He is a former Emergency Medical Technician. Kyle with the cadence instructions of the 911 operator began chest compressions until the actual EMT's arrived and used a defibrillator. Other family members rushed to shield the kids from noticing or panicking about the situation. It was as if, everyone knew their role and perfectly played their part. Heather Watson, Bob's wife, stated it this way, "Everybody was able to find their part to do, whether it was moving furniture or getting the little ones out of the room." As grateful as she was to have such a...

911 Hug Call

Image
Operator : "911 what is your emergency?" Little boy : "I need a hug!" While that is not exactly how this went down, it was almost that cute and for the most part its not very far off. In early November a young boy, who is only allowed to have a deactivated cell phone, decided to play around with the various features that don't require activation. Well, perhaps an oversight by the parents, one such feature on all deactivated phones is the ability to still call emergency services. Whether on accident or on purpose that is exactly what this little boy did. However, unlike the hypothetical script above, he hung up on the operator which still requires the dispatch of an officer to investigate. Cashing in on that hug request Within minutes Sheriff Deputy Pracht from Hillsborough County, Florida was on the scene knocking on the door of the family home. Seeing mom emerge from around the corner he asked, "is this your home?" to which the confused woman answere...

But for there to be a car in the hole is quite a bit more interesting and this one, had people inside. In fact the couple in the vehicle had already tried calling 911 in their upside-dow...
