Papa Vacations with Pepa

This was probably not the first time a kid snuck something into a loved ones luggage nor will it be the last. There is something about children wanting to remind you not to forget about them that drives the inclination. So many a parent or grandparent have probably opened their suitcase only to find a hand-written card, a memento, or even a favorite toy stowing a ride and offering a surprise to the traveler once at their destination. That is how it all started for grandpa, David Zielke as he opened his bags and found granddaughter Lisette had put her Peppa Pig toys in with his clothing.

Most would find the gesture cute, enjoy a smile, and maybe even mention how special it was the next time they spoke to the young one. But David had an even more elaborate idea. Soon he was photographing and filming the Peppa Pig family at the pool enjoying a swim, on the lounge chairs getting some sun, on the sandy beach enjoying the weather, and even whale watching. He carefully documented Lisette's toys going along on every adventure the vacation had to offer so that she could see that her efforts to be included were indeed noticed and appreciated.

"I think one of the joys of being a grandparent is kind of appreciating your temporary nature of life, if you know what I mean? We're further along on our road. And so you kind of realize, you know, let's make these moments special. Let's make these moments precious. To me seeing the world through the eyes of a child is magical," says David when asked about his motivation to put together such an intricate offering.

Lisette's aunt, who was on the vacation watching her dad exude this sweet reaction, secretly documented him, documenting the toys and soon posted what is now a viral video of the transaction. Tanya Zielke already knew what a loving family she belonged to but this specific scenario was all the more special to her as she learned of being pregnant with her first child which will be David's sixth grandchild. Tanya goes on to state, "It makes me excited that I am bringing this baby into a family that is so loving. I think the real message here is it doesn't take a lot to show someone you care for them. It's literally the thought that counts and this was literally a thoughtful; act of love that has gone so far."
