Feeling The Beat

Jaden & Kirk Williams
For some people all it takes is a beat and they cannot help but move their body to the rhythm. Add to the mix a 2nd grade holiday performance and the ingredients were ripe for Jaden Williams to put on an unscripted portion of the show that went viral. He and his classmates were indeed supposed to be singing and moving their bodies with some hand-motions and perhaps a sway back and forth. But that irresistible urge to put his own flavor on it which included some pop & lock, hip gyrations, a little robot, and some break dance vibes was not in the script but well received all the same.

Dad, Kirk Williams, who was in the audience saw Jaden start to roll his shoulders and knew what was coming, "As he was moving around I was like, oh he's about to start dancing you know. I kind of know how he starts to get. As soon as he hears the music, it just takes over." You see this kind of behavior was normal albeit contained to the confines of their home and immediate family. But now it was on full display, originally blessing the Beachwood Elementary School audience consisting of mostly parents. But due to a video taken by one of the moms, over 20 million other people have seen his moves and enjoyed them as well.

One group that became captivated by Jaden was the San Francisco 49ers because of the team jacket and knit hat the boy was wearing that proudly dawned their logo. A big fan of the team, Jaden got the opportunity of a lifetime as the NFL franchise invited him to come dance at one of their games and to continue blessing people with the joy of his gifts. And that is really all this amazing boy wanted in the first place. "I just want them [the audience] to have a beautiful day [and] a beautiful weekend for everyone. I just want to make them happy." Jaden is only eight and his natural jubilation has brought smiles and joy to so many. Imagine what a lifetime of this kind of attitude can accomplish.
